Come & have a go, This event is open to anyone who likes cycling.

Come & take part in a 'Cycling' event in N.E. Lincolnshire riding around the beautiful  undulating 'Wolds'.
Take on the rolling hills & country lanes around this area of out standing natural beauty.
We have 2 challenge distances on offer (80) & (40) miles.

Both routes will have a 'feed-stops' where you can get some 'homemade flapjack' refreshments.
Blow the cobwebs of winter away, and dust down your weapon of choice whether it's a road bike, hybrid or mountain bike. Come along and take part in a great cycling challenge, you never know you just might enjoy the blast of fresh Spring air with other keen cyclists.

 80mile roadride Pre-entry fee £15 On the day £20 (Includes parking, toilets, route map, tea/coffee & biscuits on return.
40mile roadride Pre-entry fee £10 On the day £15 (Includes parking, toilets, route map, tea/coffee & biscuits on return.
Challenge 80 roadride: Is a 80mile/128km route starting & finishing at the village hall, Great Limber, N.E. Lincs.
Challenge 80 roadride starts at 08.15am, you can set off after signing in, you'll be timed out & back in, all riders will have an I.D.
Challenge 40 roadride: Is a 40mile/66km route starting & finishing at Limber village hall, Great Limber, N.E. Lincs.
Challenge 40 roadride starts at 08.15am, you can set off after signing in, you'll be timed out & back in, all riders will have an I.D.
Challenge 80mile & 40mile routes will be signed with arrows at road junctions, each rider will be issued with a route map.
If you have to retire, try & make it to a 'FEED-ZONE' for collection. (You may have to wait a tad for a support vehicle)

Feed zone along the route.
Pick-up point for event riders are at the feed zones (Please wait there for collection)
A maps will be given to each rider to help navigate around the route. (if you get into difficulty use it)
The route will be signed, so hopefully you will not need to use the map.
Please follow the event Marshall's instructions, they are for your safety and the other riders.
All riders are obliged to wear a hard shell helmet (British standard certified) at all times during the ride.
Check your bicycle is in good working order especially the brakes/gears/chain/nuts & bolts.
All riders must carry enough food, drink & tools to sustain them for the ride.
Please do not rely on the feed stops for a three course meal, it's just .... (Juice & nibbles)
All riders should carry adequate clothing in case conditions change.
Riders must give way to walkers, horse-riders & take special care at start & finish areas.
Please do not ride more than single file or overtake in dangerous places.
Never overtake on the inside. (It'll end in tears)
Give good clear signals before making any turn or overtaking, Always look behind you before.
Try not to stop suddenly as there may be other cyclists behind you.
Be patient with other cyclists, some will be inexperienced.
Be alert and considerate to other riders on the route.
Keep your distance from the bicycle in front of you, don't speed beyond your capability.
Hills may be steep than you anticipate, with hidden bends, potholes or loose gravel.
If you need a rest or your bicycle breaks down, get off the road.
If feeling ill during the ride do not continue, it could endanger your health.
At major roads & road junctions be careful. (DON'T GO STRAIGHT ACROSS, STOP & LOOK BOTH WAYS)
Please do NOT drop your litter, bring it back with you. (If Marshall's see you drop litter you will be disqualified)
If you are in doubt about your physical fitness, consult a doctor before partaking in any physical exercise.
Ride within your capability, and above all enjoy the Bicyclemania Challenge event.
Please DO NOT ride along with headphones on, it's not safe to do so on the public highways.

You understand & agree that the organisers cannot be held responsible.

You agree to abide by the event marshals, event organisers, Highway code and country code rules.
You are over the age of 16 years (Under 16yr's see below) and fit and able to ride and control a bicycle on a road.
We ask you to wear a British /EU certified helmet during the event ride.
You will exercise caution at all road crossings and road junctions along the route.
You will not drop any litter on the ride, you will put all litter into provided bins at the feed-zone & event site.
You will behave in a decent manner to the general public out on the ride.

For under16's a guardian signature is required on the entry form.
