TRAILS ~
The UK's best known and hence most
popular trail centre offers three fully
way-marked mountain bike trails of
varying difficulty and duration. They
are the 'Red Bull Trail' 'MBR
trail' and the 'Karrimor Trail'
plus fun and sports
routes. Daffyd Davis, Coed-y-Brenin
creator and guardian, is widely
recognized as the UK's leading trail
builder, and his skills are in demand
further a-field than North Wales. The
centre gets 120,000 visitors a year, and
at weekends it's a great place to go and
just hang out in between rides. The
'Red Bull' route is the shortest at
11km, but has some great single-track
sections. The 'Karrimor trail' at
38km, is considerably longer and harder,
and the recently opened 'MBR trail'
is 22km, long and is very good too. All
the routes are currently signed,
although the MBR and Karrimor trails
will have new way-markers installed to
include the additional new trail
section. General forest maps, useful for
seeing how the main fire roads link up,
are available in the visitor's centre. |

Ride flat-out & attack
every hill, it could be your last ride, ever .. ever ... ever!.

all forest operations like, S.A.S. special training op's.
