Lanzarote Cycling Trails

Picture a twisting track, winding it's way among the olive and orange orchards. Or climbing up the mountain side to the peak, where you'll be rewarded with a splendid vistas. ooh.! .... suits you sir ........

For those of you who don't know where Lanzarote is, it's in the Atlantic ocean & about 100km off the coast of Morocco. Its forms one of the Islands in the Canaries chain. It's a Mecca for Mountain bikers and road riders alike. With hundreds of miles of dry sun-shinning cycling to be had.


Trail 1	Playa Blanca Femés Uga Yaiza Volcano National Park Yaiza Las Brenas Playa Blanca Medium/Hard route. Distance about 41 miles / 65.9 km. Warning (Can be windy) Tarmac roads Cycle lanes. Climbing to 510 m/1.530 ft.

Trail 2	Playa Blanca Volcano Baja Playa Blanca Hard route. Distance about 4.1 miles / 6.6 km. Warning (Steep, Loose & technical sections) Loose ash track Climbing to about 194 m.

Trail 3	Playa Blanca Papagayo Mt.Brena Estesa Off/road Femés Playa Blanca Hard route. Distance about 40 miles / 64.3 km. Warning (Steep, Narrow & technical sections) Loose ash track. Climbing to 600 m/1.800 ft. Take care..!!

Trail 4	Playa Blanca La Hondvra Pico Redondo Off/road Yaiza Uga Femés Off/road Playa Blanca Hard route. Distance about 37.4 miles / 60.1 km. Warning (Steep, Loose & technical sections) Loose ash track. Climbing to 600 m/1.800 ft. Take care..!!

Trail 5	Costa Teguise Donut run Very easy route. Distance about 1 mile / 1.7 km round trip. Warning (To many Donuts & cakes can seriously slow you down) Tarmac road. Climbing to 6 m/18 ft. Take care..!!

Trail 6	Costa Teguise Teseguise Teguise Ermita de las Nieves Golf ball station Tabayesco Guatiza Playa Blanca Hard route. Distance about 4.1 miles / 6.6 km. Warning (Steep & technical) Loose ash track. Climbing to 660 m/1.980 ft. Take care..!!

Trail 7	Costa Teguise Around Volcano Guatiza Arrieta Jameos del Agua Back the same route Medium route. Distance about 33 km / 20.1 miles. Loose ash tracks & tarmac roads. Warning (Steep & technical in the odd place) Climbing to 97 m/291 ft. Take care..!!

Trail 8	Costa Teguise Teseguise Teguise Playa de Famara Back the same way Hard route. Distance about 68 km / 42.2 miles. Warning (Steep & technical in the odd place) Loose ash track. Climbing to 300 m / 915 ft. Take care..!!

Trail 9	Costa Teguise Ship Wreck Golf course San Bartolome Off/road Teguise Teseguise Costa Teguise Medium route. Distance about 31.1 miles / 50 km. Warning (Steep & technical in places) Loose ash track. Climbing to 305 m / 915 ft. Take care..!!
