Kidder's has shrunken
after the big Welsh Wkd |
|
 |
After a long drive up from South Wales after competing in the
MBR Big Welsh Weekend,
Kidder & Chiefy arrive in the Lakes at Hawkshead YHA. They off
load the bikes & unpack their kit & sort their lives out. Two
pairs of very tired, stiff legs head off around Esthwaite water
to Sawrey & the first pub pit-stop. On arriving at the pub they
find it's shut!, so it was no option but to big ring it down to
the ferry & get across to Windermere. The first sight the pair
were confronted with at Ambleside YHA. was hundreds of kids
running around & screaming..!! (That's Bollocks)
Kidder & Chiefy had the foresight to book a 2 bed dorm 'What
a blessing'.
After a shower it was time for tea, the restaurant was all but
empty apart from two little kids running around annoying the
pair. Kidder exerted his authority & cleared the kids off. With
tea gobbled up it was off to Ambleside town for some liquid
refreshments. The pair arrived back at the YHA. at about
10.30pm, & made the long climb up to the attic-room where they
were sleeping. The TV. was switched on, only to find Big
Brother, 'Bollocks to that' time for some shut
eye. |
