Trek 6-4-2 Enduro day.
An extended version of Saturday’s course keeps the riding
interesting and the unique format allows an opportunity for
riders to choose their race. As the name
suggest Trek 6-4-2 offers the choice of 6, 4 or 2 hour
endures and the introduction of separate expert/elite and
open categories means you can choose your opposition. There
is a pit area where you can leave your race supplies and
this also acts as the changeover area for pairs/teams. Torq
energy products will be on hand and are offering an
unlimited energy support package for only £5 which includes
a Torq drinks bottle. All trek 6-4-2 entrants will also
receive a delicious Torq Energy bar. ~ Start ~ 10.00
Solos/pairs/teams begin the 6 hour challenge. 12.00
4 hour solo riders start from the separated start area. 14.00
2 hour solo enduro. 16.00
Hooters sounds & no more laps can be done. 16.45

This is an idea event for first timers to have a go at because
you can do as many laps as you like spreading them out with
breaks in-between, it's up to you how much effort you put in.
Exciting Course Don't believe
what other riders say about Clipstone Forest (Sherwood Pines)
not been challenging enough, it's was a brilliant course, O.K.
so their are no long hard climbs but the fast twisty
single-tracks make up for that. If your not flicking form left
to right your going up and down on mini moguls, and there is no
time to sit back due to the speed you are going at. Rain, rain & more rain Did it rain on
the day, you bet. It started off light but then turned heavy and
in no time at all the course was very slippery. Now that on its
own is O.K. but when you are at speed trying to stay in a narrow
track between skin ripping gorse bushes it becomes a different
thing.
Start Somewhere Sherwood Pines
Forest is an ideal place to start off your first mountain bike
event, if it wasn't for the new riders coming into the sport it
would of died a death some time ago.
