~ The Routes ~ There were
three graded trail routes to follow for this B.H.F. ride.
GREEN: Beginners/Family
BLUE: Moderate RED:
Challenging/High Technical. ~ Bicyclemania
Ride ~
The start and finish was in Adderstone field, just off the
Forest Toll Drive road. The kick-off time was 10.am. At
9.00am it's was already 70 degrees and the temperature was
creeping up. The trail from the start was down-wards and
quick, then can the deep, dark gully. At the bottom came a
right turn and a very tricky track snaking it's way back up
to the fire-road. Now you could go through the gears to get
some wind to try and cool yourself down before dropping
downhill on the black run. If you made it to the bottom in
one piece you then had a long slow climb back up into the
forest. The red route then headed off winding it's way
through Dalby and onto some of the new trail sections. The
heat of the day made it a very tough challenge, but the new
trails made up for all that dust & sweating. 'Bring it on'
