The info:
1 in 10 people know someone who has been affected by
leukaemia & its related cancers of the blood, so people are
willing to give to events which help raise money for the
Leukaemia Research Fund.
~ Bicyclemania Ride ~ A fantastic day
was had by all, and the storm clouds held off and the sun
shone between the clouds for a most enjoyable Lincolnshire
country ride rolling over the Wolds. Kidder & Chiefy were taking
part in this local annual charity ride and helping to rise
money. Kidder & Chiefy took on the 40 mile ride. There were two
other route to ride a 10 mile & 15 mile the route was well
planed and well marshalled.
Kidder & Chiefy went for the burn but stopped at the 'Viking
cafe' in Ludford for light refreshments and covered the
total distance in a time of 03:03:37 That was a respectable time
on a mountain bike with all the tea & cream cakes swilling about
inside. For any mountain bikers looking for a good run out
entering a charity event is a good way to help with any training
and at the same time you will be helping to befit a charity and
don't forget the route will be marked out, there may be
refreshments on route too.
'The good thing about these charity rides is', (A) you get to ride around a pre-set route which is
signed & Marshalled with refreshments so no need to keep
stopping and checking the map. (B) you make a small
donation and help a worthy charity to boot.
