~ Bicyclemania Ride ~
Well the weather for this Octobers day was still with a slight
drizzle, and quite mild. After the registration process it was
off for a 30 mile ride around the picturesque area taking in
along the way such hamlets like High Melton, Cabedy,
Barnburgh, Hickleton, Brodsworth, Hooton Pagnel, South Elmsall,
Hampole, Marr.
Pit-Stops
B.H.F. refreshments were available on the route to re-charge
your fatigued legs for the miles ahead, everyone was meet with a
happy cheer too. The marshalling was first class and a big
thanks goes out to everyone who help the riders keep on the
right route and not make contact with metal objects. Having a
09:30 start helped keep the traffic down and gave the riders
more chance to ride unhindered. Kidder & Chiefy went for the
blast around the route, Chiefy's legs were feeling like lead
from a week of hard graft laying down a garden patio. The pair
both said
"The last couple of miles were tough turning the cranks back
to the finish at the Hall".
Bicyclemania hope the B.H.F. and rider sponsors raised a lot of
money for a good course. Why don't you take part in next years
events. |
