BRIDLEWAY

Part of the National Bridleway Trail
Currently from Middleton Top, High Peaks, Derbyshire
to
Byrness in Northumberland Ultimately
330 km / 206 miles 'Full trail opening in 2006...ish!'

The info:
The Mary Towneley Loop is an ideal short break destination for you fellow mountain bikers. The route takes you on a journey through the South Pennines, you will encounter open moorland and hidden reservoirs, ancient packhorse tracks sweeping into valleys with grit stone walls, mill chimneys and canals offering a glimpse of past histories. Right that's enough of all that chit-chat, the trailfinders at Bicyclemania have wetted your appetite for some long distance riding.
