The info:
Have you heard the saying 'Flaming June' well it was,
the weather was brilliant for this organised cycle event
around the pretty countryside town of Buxton. Sponsored
cyclists set off on a 51 mile ride from the Pavilion Gardens
in Buxton and headed out into the Peaks countryside to
pick-up the High Peaks Trails.
The riders took in the hills and Dales and two traffic free
cycle paths (High Peaks & Tissington Trail). The
riders on the route had designated refreshment stops along
the way, giving them chance to fill up on water and buy
goodies.
The whole
circular route was marshalled and at all the major road
junctions, signs or marshal's were there to direct you. At
some of the pit-stops mechanics were on hand to help out if
you needed them as well as a mobile first add car covering
the route. At the end of your epic ride you received a well
earned certificate from
Bike Events thanking your effort.
