"NutcrackerChallenge" weekend started off
with a 6 hour race on the Saturday, followed by a 4 hour
race on the Sunday. "Only the strong will survive the
distance"

Chiefy arrive in Dalby forest for the SIMBA Nutcracker Enduro
Challenge 6/4 Hour Event. This was a new start for Chiefy, a
running start & it was not the best way to get going for an four
hour event. Running in Spd's on rock hard uneven ground made for
some delicate foot work, anyway off into the forest and down a
fast track to a short sharp climb then take on some tricky
single-track to a sweet fast narrow blast through the woods to
another tricky section of a roller-coaster run with the odd
patch's of deep sand just to catch you out. Now came the long
fire road climb to a dark wooded section with gnarly tree roots
waiting for you just to hit them on the wrong line. After that
you entered a short twisting downhill run to a fire road. You
had to watch out for members of the public coming straight at
you, as the course was running in the counter-clockwise way on a
public trail.
Now came the fast fire road where you could big ring it down to
a short wooded section just before entering into the start and
finish field. Lap one completed, now for lap two, watch out for
the chicane 1/2 down the field, it keeps moving.
