Bicyclemania Suggest starting from the Isle of Raasay Hotel (Churchton Bay)

(1)From the car park T.L. & follow the rd through the village & towards the ferry terminal.
(2)At the T.JCT. opposite the fire station T.R. & follow coast rd to ferry terminal.

At the ferry terminal GO-STR-ON up long hill SP. (Aiseag Ratharsair) towards Eyre.
(3)When the tarmac ends, bear slight R. onto well defined grass track.

Now aim for some gates behind the lighthouse (Eyre Point)

Follow green track between fences to a padlocked gate & here T.R. to shoreline.
Follow shoreline (best you can) into the woods, then back onto shoreline.
(5)Follow track to a old hen house on the shore next to big tree with red buoy by river.
T.L. & go up a narrow track, hugging the edge of wood.
Now make your way across open pasture to the Fearns rd. (Very steep hill)

T.L. At Fearns rd  & climb steeply to the Col & picnic bench & views.
(About 150m / 450ft)
(7)GO-STR-ON downhill to the disused mine buildings & T.R.
(8)Go over the bridge & onto stony forest track, sweep L. onto  (Burma Rd Trail) TIP 1
Follow the trail through the wood twin track becomes single, then rooty downhill.
(9)At tarmac rd two options, T.R. long climb to hostel or T.L. back to Raasay hotel. TIP 2

GO-STR-ON past hostel & Oskaig Cut to singletrack tarmac (Main Rd & maybe a car too)

GO-STR-ON at the triangle, through the bends & down over the bridge & up far side.

At a lay-by with picnic bench above Loch  T. hairpin R. onto well defined stony track.
Follow track stubbornly uphill to JCT. beneath (Dun Ca'an) summit (no SP)
(13)At top T.R. along the crags past Loch na Mna, then head down roughly with stream.
Follow stream roughly down, track becomes steeper & broken.
(14)T.R. into Raasay forest & head down to forest rd, then T.L. & head to wooden bridge.
(15)At old mine buildings T.R. & go downhill on fast steep & in places slippery tarmac rd.

At T.JCT. bear L. & follow the rd to the next T.JCT. here T.R. for hotel.
Follow rd back to the hotel and car park.
~ Trailfinders Tip ~
Tip1> Remember this turn when you descend from Dun Ca'an on the way back.
Tip2> From hotel T.R. & follow only rd towards Oskaig Point,
bear R. up grass terraced at a lay-by immediately before a sharp bend
& cattle grid opposite white house.
