Distance: About 17miles / 26.3km.
Red trail Hard
Blue trail easy:
Mainly on tracks, bridleways and the old Roman road.
Some of which is very steep, rough and technical.
A couple of short sections on main roads. |

From the main cafe/car park
ride to the main road & T.R. Follow the road to the
roundabout and take the 2nd exit off. Follow the lane down & along
the front of the dam wall. Stay on this track & follow the
contours of the land for about 1 mile to a gate on your L. Go through the gate and start
to climb the paved track leading up the hillside. At the top go through the gate
and ride to the next gate and GO-STR-ON . Follow the track along and over
the stream and up the hill to the next gate. Follow the main track all the
way to the top. At the top bear off to the L.
and follow the downhill track to a Y. split & go R. Follow the track to a gate and
GO-STR-ON. Follow the track to the bottom
and the main road by the pub. T.R. onto the road and ride to
the T. JCT. & T.L. Follow the road over the bridge
and onto the pub, just after the pub T.R. Follow the street to the end
and T.R. Follow the road downhill and
over the bridge and bear L. Follow the road to a T. JCT. &
T.R. Follow the road all the way to
a main road and T.R. Follow the road into Hope &
T.R. just before the Woodbine cafe. Follow the road to a small
bridge and just after it bear off to the L. Follow the main track to a gate
and GO-STR-ON. Follow the main dirt track all
the way along the ridge & over the top to the Roman road. Drop down the Roman road to a
T. JCT. & T.L. Follow the tarmac track down
and up to the main road. Cross over and follow the track
up past the farm and continue to the top. At the top you come to a 3 way
split. T.R. & climb up onto the bank &
head to a gate. Cut across the top & follow the
ridge along by the plantation keeping it to your L. to a gate. T.L. & Follow the downhill
track to the main road. T.L. and follow the road back
to the car park. |
