DUSK TIL DAWN
Ho . . . What A Night . . .! Rain
Rain
Rain

The info:
The format is quite simple, enter as a soloist or team and do as many laps as you can in the 12 hours. That's from 8pm to 8am, Yes.. through the night. So that's go out and blast around the course, then at the start/finish line hand over the baton to the next team member  . . . .  and repeat.
OCTOBER . . . NIGHT-TIME MONSOON WITH STRONG WINDS
Well we were ready, bikes were clean and race prepped. Team orders were sorted and everybody was up for what lay ahead in the night. The main factor was not knowing how long the first lap would take with that big field and the single-tracks, let alone the night and the weather conditions. Shaunie was the first to do battle with the track and elements and came home in just over the hour mark. Now we all new what we had to do, the race was on.

As the night went on the course succumbed into a muddy skid pan, the rain just kept on coming and the wind was no help either. This sort of night (wind, rain & mud) is a bigger mental test than a physical test. There will be casualties as some riders just crash out or loose the will to fight on against the elements. Lucky for us in team Bicyclemania we were made of sterner stuff and kept on putting in the laps.

Every man did his share, get kitted up with dry or wet kit and then heading on out into the dark, wet, muddy forest of Thetford. No one had any major mechanical problems that could not be sorted. We all managed to nurse are bikes around the course in some sort of straight line fashion.
