The info:
The Big MBR Scottish Weekend went off with a very wet
splash on July 8-9, with nearly 400 riders participating in Sunday's
enduro event. Riders from across Britain flocked to Drumlanrig
castle estate to participate in the event, which saw riders
completing 25, 50 or 100km rides.
IT'S
SUNDAY, SO ITS ANOTHER EVENTS DAY
~ Bicyclemania Ride ~ The technical course had suffered from something of a
torrent of rain on Saturday night & again on the
Sunday morning. Laps times taking between 1.1/4 hrs to
about 3hrs. Many riders who had originally entered the
50km found it to tough going taking on the root
infested woods & decided to downgrade to the 25km on
the day. Chiefy made a tyre change & switched from
semi slicks to knobbles, hoping for better grip out on
the course. It paid off & he managed to say most of
the time upright.
Two flats & two laps later Chiefy came back into the
main area muddy & damp, and very pleased to cross the
line. He made a B-line to the cafe for a nice hot cup
of coffee & a chill out. Next job was down to the
campsite and a cold shower still wearing his race kit
also washing the bike too.
