The Caythorpe Chase has some of the best mountain biking
bridleways in Lincolnshire, and the organizers have put
together a fantastic course. Choose from a 15 mile or a 28
mile route to test you. The entry also includes a route
description, refreshments and a certificate for the
triumphant finishers.
IT'S
SUNDAY, SO ITS ANOTHER EVENTS DAY
~ Bicyclemania Ride ~
After signing in you are
given a route map and let loose to hit the trail,
the first downhill track arrived soon and then its up
to you and the terrain.
This year the route was
quite dry to ride although there were a few slimy
spots as well as large puddles to negotiate.
Chiefy
and about 9 other riders took a wrong turn due to no
mark on a gate, but they had only ridden on about 300
feet pass it then realised, so it's a quick U-turn
back. (Good job the organisers issued a map & info)
Chiefy
had a good ride with no mis-haps & come home in 02:27
mins and ready to eat the big spread laid on in the
new club house.
Back at
the finish you could hosed the bikes down and made a
b-line for the bar, loads of food was on display for
the hungry rides to gobble up and everybody soon
tucked in.
