IT'S
SUNDAY, SO ITS ANOTHER EVENTS DAY
 |
~ Bicyclemania Ride ~
About 175 riders turned out for the British Heart
Foundation charity ride, not bad considering the weather
was about to change from warm dry conditions to wet and
windy.
Chiefy signed on and then set off for the run, about 6
miles into the route he was jointed by another cyclist who
had set off from the village of Bonby, he was on his way
to the shops and came across the riders, so there and then
decided to tag along. His name was E-W? and he was from
Holland.
(One fit bloke ............ probably a top Dutch
road rider!.)
E-W rode with
Chiefy along the route, when the pair were coming into
Barton-upon-Humber E-W's front tyre went down and yes he
had no repair tools with him, so lucky for him Chiefy
fixed his flat tyre and the pair set off again. The rain
keeps on falling and the roads were getting wetter and
wetter, so the pair turn the power on and head for the
finish at Elsham Country Park.
Nice ride shame about the weather, but this is
England in the summer!. |
