~ Bicyclemania Ride ~
After a Mac's breakfast in Lincoln Kidder & Chiefy drove to Caythorpe for a cross country ride around the scenic area of middle 'earth' Lincolnshire. Chiefy had a brand new test bike to try out, the Cannondale Prophet 800 and the pair were keen to give it a work out. The test bike was on loan from Freetown Sports in Hull and a big thanks goes out to the staff for getting it set up.

After signing in the pair were given a route map and let loose to hit the trail,  the first downhill track arrived soon and the prophet 800 eat all before it. Kidder could see Chiefy pulling away on the uneven ground and had to play catch - up. the pair kept swapping over bikes to see how they performed.

The terrain was getting very muddy in lots of places and it made for some fancy pedal work. Kidder and Chiefy hooked up with some other rides and blasted through a couple of miles of fast rolling countryside before the competition fell away. The pair pushed the big ring home and made it back to the start/finish just before the rain started to fall.

Back at the finish the pair hosed the bikes down and made a b-line for the bar, loads of food was on display for the hungry rides to gobble up and Kidder & Chiefy took no time in tucking in. Chiefy was in luck, he had won a spot prize of a nice bottle of chardonnay.
