After a full English Kidder has to sort out
yet another flat, then it's of for another
long hill climb. The pair stop and take in
the views around Near Moor and look across
to Whorl Hill, they make go progress along
Scugdale and Raisdale before dropping down
to Chop Gate. Lunch was had looking down on
Chop Gate from Urra Moor, at about 1,490
feet, they had unwanted visitors as millions
of big fly's hovered about. The pair headed
on and picked up the old disused railway on
Stockdale Moor & big ringed it to the Red
Lion Inn at Rosedale Head stopping briefly,
so Chiefy could bang some air into a slow
front flat.
After a pub lunch of Guinness they cruised
down to Lastingham on the old rail track
around Rosedale Rigg. Picking up the tarmac
they headed to Cropton and onto
Newton-on-Rawcliffe for a pint, but the pub
was shut and didn't look biker friendly
anyway. So yet again it was big ring to
Pickering for some food. They found a little
cafe and have coffee and buns sat in the sun
before moving on to Thornton-Le-Dale and the
nights B&B. The B&B guesthouse was slap -
bang opposite the pub, so Kidder & Chiefy
rode straight into the beer garden for well
earned liquid refreshments. The local chippy
& park bench were the venues to eat & the
highlight of the evening was a monster truck
blasting out tunes on a deafening sound
system in the high street. |
